What is the EROS Quotient?
The EROS-Q is a research-grounded couples assessment that maps your erotic culture across six domains. Each partner completes it individually and receives a private profile. Together, you receive a shared Couples EROS Quotient.
How long does it take?
Most people complete the assessment in 20–25 minutes. Your progress is saved automatically, so you can pause and return if needed.
Do we take it at the same time?
No — and that's intentional. Each partner completes the assessment individually, without consulting the other. Independent responses produce the most honest and meaningful results.
Is our data private?
Yes. Your individual responses are never shared with your partner directly. Each person receives their own private profile first. The Couples EROS Quotient compares your profiles without revealing raw individual answers. Anonymised, aggregated data may be used to improve the instrument and for research purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
When do we receive our reports?
Your personal EROS Quotient is delivered by email as soon as you submit. Your Couples EROS Quotient is sent to both of you once your partner has also completed the assessment.
Is this a clinical tool?
No. The EROS-Q is designed for educational and self-guided use by couples. It is not a diagnostic instrument. If your responses surface clinical-level concerns — such as sexual dysfunction, trauma history, or significant relational distress — we recommend consulting a licensed sex therapist.
What if my partner doesn't complete the assessment?
You will still receive your personal EROS Quotient. The Couples EROS Quotient is only generated once both partners have submitted. There is no expiry — your partner can complete it at any time.
Can individuals take the EROS-Q?
The current instrument is designed for partnered couples. An individual version is in development.
